By utilizing ALGRIP, you will see a return on your investment in the reduction of lost production time, expenses in replacing skilled labor, accident investigation, work rescheduling and rehabilitation.

Safety

The unique matrix application of ALGRIP’s laser deposits provides unparalleled slip-resistance in all directions. The standard staggered matrix allows appropriate spacing for shoe soles and vehicular wheels to completely encircle and “grab” the deposits.

With more than 1000 deposits per square foot, ALGRIP provides superior safety and increased pedestrian comfort. For applications where ergonomics are of paramount concern, ALGRIP offers a safe, flexible solution in wet, oily and dusty environments.

Versatility

One of the greatest benefits of using ALGRIP products is that it can be easily manufactured into finished components using common metal working tools and machinery. When creating the ALGRIP Slip-Resistant product, we add material to mill supplied sheets and plates without changing the make-up of that product which allows the pattern to be modified to meet the distinct needs of our clients.

Cutting, forming, welding and fabricating can be performed in the same manner as before the ALGRIP process is applied.  As the added material (deposits) are CNC Laser applied, they become harder than the substrate.  This creates an extremely durable, long lasting slip-resistant surface.

We recommend that dies be protected when forming the ALGRIP product.

The superior adhesion of the ALGRIP slip-resistant surface allows the plate to be fabricated by:

The unique manufacturing process we use in creating ALGRIP assures versatility found with no other product. Whereas our Aluminum and Stainless products are seldom coated, our Carbon Steel can be finished with acrylic or epoxy, or galvanized without compromise to the traction-providing surface.

Durability

The durability of the ALGRIP SLIP-RESISTANT FLOOR PLATE originates with the substrate selected. It is available in Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum and other alloy metals.

While these durable substrates provide a solid foundation for the finished product, substrate strength is only the beginning!

The true life-cycle of safety floor plates is traditionally determined not by the substrate, but rather slip-resistant properties generated by the traction surface. The traction-providing laser deposits on ALGRIP have been tested for hardness and adherence by independent testing laboratories and these results assure that this generation of flooring will provide unsurpassed service life.

Laboratory analysis has measured the hardness of ALGRIP traction providing custom alloy laser depositions at up to 60 on the Rockwell C Scale. Under the heaviest pedestrian or vehicular traffic, these deposits will provide continuous, safe, effective service. (Be reminded that, similar to all abrasion surface steel safety floor plates, ALGRIP should not be installed in areas subject to steel-wheeled vehicular traffic.)

The cross-sectional photograph above illustrates the deep penetration of the symmetrical laser deposition into the substrate. Laboratory tested, the deposition penetrates the substrate and is enclosed by a strengthened heat affected zone. The resulting bond strength combined with the proven deposition hardness provides unsurpassed durability regardless of wear or abrasion.

ALGRIP products are manufactured with recycled materials and are fully recyclable. Unlike other slip-resistance products, there is no generation of smoke, over spray, hazardous or solid waste.
